Brooks started his comedy career straight out of high school in Iowa. During college, he performed throughout the Midwest and was a contributing writer for Collegehumor.com. After spending time performing in Chicago and studying at Second City, he decided to move to Los Angeles. In 2012, he was invited to perform at the prestigious New York Comedy Festival as a part of Comedy Central’s Top 10 Comics to Watch, and recently performed at the Comedy Central South Beach Comedy Festival, recorded his television debut for Comedy Central’s Adam Devine’s House Party and was selected as a New Face at Just For Laughs in Montreal, 2013. 


In 2013, Brooks joined the cast of Saturday Night Live as a featured player.
